Now is the Time,
Kerby's is the Place

September 3, 2015

Start getting your veggie beds ready for fall planting.
It is nice to be on the other side of summer. Rainy season has been almost too much this year, and as we slide along into September, hopefully we'll see a little less of the daily rainshowers and maybe, just maybe, the chance for a cool down. Even though the heat is still on, it is time to start thinking about your fall veggie garden. It is a little early (and too hot) to plant just yet, but it is a great time to get out and prepare the soil, so that as soon as planting season arrives, you'll be ready. A limited number of veggie plants should arrive at the nursery before the weekend, with more arriving next week. We know some of you just can't wait to plant.

Fall will be here before we know it with the lovely plants that we can't wait for. Make your beds beautiful now, so that once fall is here all you have to do is pop in your fall favorites. A fresh layer of mulch goes a long way towards making beds look new again, and right now at Kerby's, all bagged mulch (including pine bark) is just $1.99 per bag. And don't forget, Kerby's has a new pottery department with over 600 pots in a rainbow of colors, and all glazed pottery is buy one get one 50% off. Beautiful pots, beautiful plants and the promise of some cooler weather soon. See summer isn't so bad.

Happy Gardening,
