Gardening is always an adventure, and now is the most spectacular time of the year. We watch as a miracle of nature occurs, with plants and trees waking from their winter slumber, fresh with green leaves and springtime blooms. For gardeners, this time of year brings joy to our hearts as we embark on a new season of gardening adventures.

To help you along the way, we've got hundreds of springtime flowers in every color of the rainbow, from bright, blue delphiniums to whimsical pink dianthus. And, if you are in need of fresh ideas this season, make an appointment with one of our landscape designers to take advantage of our landscape design services. Kerby's can get you started on your spring gardening adventure.

Spring Gardening Adventures

The Edible Garden
Spring is the best time of year to plant a vegetable or herb garden. For fun with the kids, try planting a "pizza garden" with tomatoes, peppers, oregano, basil and parsley. Then create your own pizza with the bounty from your garden!

Another Florida favorite is citrus. We have lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, tangerines, tangelos, kumquats and calamondins. Many are starting to bloom now. Easy to grow, delicious and healthy. A winning combination.

For the more exotic palate, we also carry many exotic tropical fruits, including: akee, atemoya, avocado, banana, barbados cherry, black pepper, cacao, caimito, canistel, carambola, cherry of the rio grande, cinnamon, coffee, dragon fruit, giant grenadilla, grumichama, guava, hog plum, jaboticaba, jakfruit, jujube, june plum, kiwi, longan, loquat, lychee, macadamia nut, mamey sapote, mango, miracle fruit, noni, papaya, passion fruit, pineapple, plantain, red custard apple, rollinia, santol, sapodilla, soursop, strawberry tree, sugar apple, tamarind, wampi, wax jambu, white sapote. Check our upcoming events for a schedule of workshops including The Edible Garden.
