Which gardener category are you in?

I saw a definition of gardener the other day that made me chuckle. Gardeners - People who try to keep plants alive in and around their homes. Gardeners are divided into three categories based on their level of expertise:
Novice Gardener: Someone who hasn't gardened long enough to kill one hundred plants.
Experienced Gardener: Someone who's gardened long enough to kill one thousand plants.
Expert Gardener: Someone who's qualified to tell others how to kill ten thousand plants.

Funny, right. As you read it, you know you placed yourself in one of the categories and probably thought of a friend that fits each one. I know I've seen plants come and go in my yard. Sometimes from lack of attention, sometimes because I just got tired of something and wanted to change it up. I think I'm well qualified as an Expert Gardener.

But, since your goal is probably not to let things die in your yard, and our goal is to make you a successful gardener, we want you to know what the best plants are for your yard. So come out to the Cool Cold Hardy Plants workshop this Saturday at 10am. Mark is going to tell you all about his favorite plants to use in landscape design that take the cold, and our summer heat. Florida throws a lot at plants, you want to make sure you've got the right ones. Then you'll be an experienced, expert and better yet, a successful gardener.

Happy Spring,
