Discover the Fun of Gardening The Kerby's E-Newsletter for March 2, 2017 |
Why do you garden? Is it an escape from the stress of work or family and a chance to get a little time to yourself? Or maybe it is just to feel fresh dirt on your hands. I think most of us use gardening as a chance to relax and unwind a little bit. So this week at our staff meeting, we decided to double down on relaxing, by doing yoga in the garden. Hailey, one of our staff members, is training to become a certified yoga instructor, and so she created a little mini-yoga session for us. Pictured above, we are doing our best warrior pose. I thought she was just going to do a few simple stretches with us, but she really put us through the paces: warrior, downward-facing dog, upward-facing dog and something about a cat too, I think. It was harder than I expected but it felt really good to stretch and get our blood flowing. And then, we got to spend all day working among the gorgeous flowers of spring. Talk about relaxing!
