Turn up the fun in your garden with a delicious fruit tree. They can provide
shade from the afternoon sun and juicy fruits will refresh you on a warm
summer day. To see some of the different fruit trees that you can grow in
our area, check out the new
Fruit Page or see below for a tantalizing sample.
And with father's day around the corner, maybe you'll find a great gift for dad. Plant him a mango, tangerine or lychee tree and you
will be able to enjoy the fruit together for years to come.
Happy
Gardening,

Crape Myrtle
Lagerstroemia x
Crape myrtles are bursting
all over town with blooms of bright pink, whimsical lavender and crisp
white. The crape myrtle is a very hardy and heat-tolerant tree that makes an
easy addition to any landscape. Beautiful fall foliage and unique, peeling
bark give great autumn and winter interest as well. For a unique color, try
the newer dynamite or red rocket varieties with beautiful cherry-red blooms.
